Ok Sparkleberry Ink did a a video of using vinyl to cover a frame and I thought how cool!!! (I can’t find the video but I will get the link for you guys soon). But I was so excited to make a custom frame. I swung by Dollar tree and grabbed a cheap frame. I went with simple so the vinyl would lay nicely. It doesn’t matter what color or anything because you won’t see it.

Here is what I started with. A frame, 1″ strips of the vinyl you want to use. Each 1″x12″ strip did about 3 wraps.

2 Patterns and 1 Color, Dollar Tree Frame

Starting at one corner. Add your first pattern. Wrap it fully around just don’t overlap.

I decided to add green hints to the corners originally and this is how I cut them to wrap them nicely (it didn’t look good), but I used this same technique to go right over them with a pattern!

Now you will line up each the next color right next to the other. When you get to the next corner you will have to do one strip going the other way to essentially make a “V”. As you can see (top photo) I ended up covering up the corner because I could not give them to look nice. I am thinking of inking the glass and adding a quote, I’ll update this post with what I do! 🙂

What crafty things are you making this week?
