Do you own about 5,000 tank tops like I do? Okay that may be an exaggeration BUT I do own quite a few. I wear them year round and several times a week. Finding an easy and effective storage solution however, well that was a challenge!
I have gone through several iterations of storing these unruly shirts. Folding versus hanging, rolling versus folding. It never quite worked for me. Then I decided to steal something I had obtained to store my husband’s belts.
This is a HANGER that’s advertised to store belts. And it does that remarkably well. HOWEVER I find that it actually stores my tank tops even better. Currently I am using 2 of these. Therefore I can split up my light and dark ones and have one per hook (for the most part).
By storing my tanks this way, I can easily grab them off the hook without having to move or rehang another. It also allows me to easily see what length they are, which colors are available, and which straps each one has.
Each hanger takes up about the space one of 1-2 shirts. So very minimal impact on my hanging space in my closet. I have now been using this system for about 3 years! That may be a record for me beyond my dirty laundry sorting system.
What is your top tip for storing unruly things like tank tops?
